Geoffrey D. Holman was born in Brooklyn, New York, but grew up in Deer Park Long Island. He was a 1983 graduate of Deer Park High School, where he studied Creative Writing and Film, Graphic Design and Fine Art. Shortly after, he attended a three year university in New York, where he studied Advertising Art and Design, Creative Writing, Children’s Illustration, and Early Childhood.Geoffrey D. Holman is now the founder and director of The Nue Liberation Theatre. He is an actor, spoken word poet and director, as well as a producer.
His past works include “Songs of Brick and Steel Giants” published in January of 2007, as well as “Ghettoetry: Between the Bricks” which opened at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe in August of 2008.His upcoming works consist of “Ghettoetry”, a collection of poetry/prose and illustrations available soon through Publish America, “Ghettoetry: Between the Bricks”, spoken word poetry being produced as an Off Broadway staged production for theater season 2009, “Loves Intentions”, a comedy scheduled to open Spring/Summer 2009, as well as “Ghettoetry: The Soul of a Priest, an independent film on the Renaissance artist Geoffrey D. Holman, AKA Priest.

To present realistic and entertaining and poignant material that will live in their being and to maintain a place in their consciousness. Works that truly encompass and reflect the African American Diasporas.”
